**Burnley have confirmed the return of goal-scoring midfielder Millie Ravening and former captain Alethea Paul.**
Ravening scored 61 times in her previous three seasons as a Claret, including 30 in 31 matches that earned her the club’s 2022/23 Player of the Season award.
**After confirming her return, she said:** “I loved my previous time at Burnley and it’s an amazing place to be. The club is on the up every year and we’re full-time this year too, so I can’t wait to play football every day with my friends.
“Matt (Beard) has come in and he’s won things before. He’s a winner and I think all the girls here are on the same path, so we’ll put our heads together as a family and try and win it.”
Ravening had left the Clarets for Stoke City for last season and netted 26 times in all competitions for the Potters.

Alethea Paul, who enjoyed a successful 2023/24 season in Lancashire after five years at Sheffield United, rejoins the club.
**Paul said:** “As soon as I came back it sort of felt like home, and it feels like I’ve not been away.
“I spoke with Lola (Ogunbote) and, looking at the vision for the club and the players and manager we’ve brought in, you can see where we’re going.
“I’m really eager to be part of that journey as well.”
