Patriots Unveil Tom Brady Statue Outside Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots honored legendary quarterback Tom Brady with a new statue on Friday night.

The statue, which features the future Hall of Fame quarterback with one arm raised while holding a helmet in his other hand, was revealed before the Pats' preseason game against the Washington Commanders.

Brady also made remarks at the unveiling, and he took a shot at the Pats' AFC East rivals, the New York Jets.

"But in the end, this statue isn't just for Pats fans," he said. "It'll also give all the Jets fans something to throw their beers at as they leave this stadium every year. Probably in the second quarter, maybe the third."

Widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time, Brady spent 23 years in the NFL, 20 of which came in New England.

He finished his career with seven Super Bowl titles in total, with six of those coming with the Patriots. Brady also won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady, who will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when he's eligible in 2028, now serves as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and an announcer for FOX.
