Following a frightening injury to Detroit Lions safety [Morice Norris Jr.](/players/morice-norris-jr/), the Lions-Atlanta Falcons preseason game Friday night was suspended.
Players from both teams gathered with 14:50 remaining in the fourth quarter and let the game clock run down until there was roughly 6:30 remaining and referee Shawn Hochuli announced the game had been suspended. The Lions were leading the game, 17-10, at the conclusion of the game.
Norris suffered a scary hit to his head/neck area and was subsequently immobilized and taken off the field in an ambulance.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell gathered his team in a huddle on the field and thereafter players from both teams gathered on the field and let the clock wind down.
