On August 8, 2025, the New England Patriots unveiled a towering 12-foot bronze statue of the GOAT outside Gillette Stadium, marking the first time the franchise has honored a player in this way. Brady, wearing a navy shirt, didn't just stand there looking cool; he lit up the crowd with a good-natured jab at one of his favorite rivals.
After thanking Patriots fans, the Kraft family, and former teammates, Brady dropped the line that had everyone talking:
"This statue isn't just for Pats fans. It will also give all the Jets fans something to throw their beers at as they leave the stadium every year."

In the clip shared by @@BleacherReport, Tom quips, "This statue isn't just for Pats fans. It'll also give all the Jets fans something to throw their beers at as they leave the stadium every year. Probably in the second quarter. Maybe the third."
The playful dig landed perfectly, especially considering Brady's dominant 31-8 career record against the Jets.
The statue itself is impressive, helmet in one hand, the other arm raised in victory. Brady grew visibly emotional talking about his two decades in New England. "I'm humbled and honored to be part of this organization for 20 incredible years," he told the crowd. "You guys shaped my life."
