A look at what Tottenham’s starting XI could look like after the summer transfer window.

Tottenham are now closing in on the start of the Premier League season as they look to put last season behind them and enjoy a much better campaign under new boss Thomas Frank.

Spurs have already been busy in the summer transfer window, and there will be more signings to come. Here we take a look at what Tottenham’s ideal starting XI could look like when the summer window has closed.

GK - Vicario

Vicario will be Tottenham’s starting goalkeeper for the coming season, with Antonin Kinsky will be the back-up keeper after some good performances last season.

LB - Destiny Udogie

Udogie us currently struggling with an injury, but he is expected to be back for the new season. He siwll be the starter on the left, with Djed Spence likely challenging.

CB - Micky van de Ven

Van de Ven will be hoping for better luck with fitness this season, and he will be a starter when fit, although more depth would be useful at centre-back, although Kevin Danso will be competing.

CB - Cristian Romero

Romero is another of the starters, with Frank fully expecting the Argntine to stay put despite transfer links with Atletico Madrid and others.

RB - Pedro Porro

Porro is the likely starter on the right, but he will face a battle with Spence, who enjoyed a very positive campaign of last.

CDM - Pape Matar Sarr

Sarr scored a stunner against Arsenal during the Asia trip, and while he will want a better upcoming season, he is the more likely starter ahead of Yves Bissouma.

CDM - Joao Palhinha

Palhinha has been snapped up from Bayern Munich, and Frank will surely see the holding midfielder as a starter. Palhinha is experienced in the Premier League and should slot in nicely to the Tottenham midfield.

CAM - Jack Grealish

Spurs now need another attacking midfielder following the injury suffered by James Maddison. There are some options, but Jack Grealish may be the most likely. There is flexibility, with City said to want a touch over £40million, and they might also consider a loan deal, while the midfielder is likely to arrive hungry as he looks to win a place in the World Cup squad. Eberechi Eze will be a more expensive signing, while Conor Gallagher is going to be more difficult to pull off.

RW - Mohammed Kudus

Kudus has been signed with the expectation he will be a key player. Though, he will have to battle with the likes of Brennan Johnson, Mathys Tel and others for a spot, while Spurs are also likely to sign another winger now that Heung-min Son is out.

LW - Dejan Kulusevski

Kulusevski will miss the start of the season through injury, but he is a likely starter on the left when he is back fit. The winger should start the majority of games unless there is a big-money winger signing, which seems less likely now that Maddison needs replacing.

CF - Dominic Solanke

Solanke is the current starter up top, though Frank will surely look to sign another striker, especially now that Son is no longer an option. Spurs need an alternative here.
