Manchester United are struggling to shift their four remaining exiled players, but Ruben Amorim isn’t trying to hide the fact that he doesn’t want them at all.
After Marcus Rashford sealed a move to Barcelona, the expectation was that it would set into motion a chain of events.
Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho are all unwanted, and except for Garnacho, who is linked to Chelsea, the trail has gone cold for others.
Meanwhile, United unveiled the new Carrington facilities, and a video of the dressing room has served as the latest reminder to Sancho about his status at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho given Man Utd reminder
Even among the five, now four exiled players, it is fair to say that Sancho is the most unpopular one since he has no redeeming factor.
Garnacho at least tried hard last season and will fetch a respectable fee, Antony never burned bridges, and Malacia has just been unlucky with injuries.
Sancho, on the other hand, was given repeated chances to succeed at the club, only for him to disrupt the dressing room and keep up his petty attacks at the club even when he was being paid by the club.
Clearly, Amorim views him as the antithesis to everything he’s trying to create, and that was clear when United unveiled their new dressing room as a part of the redeveloped Carrington.

As Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co. toured the new facilities, they entered the dressing room, and it was notable that Sancho’s locker was tucked away in the corner, and he was the only one without a number.
Malacia (12), Garnacho (17), and Antony (21) had a space and numbers, which they are contractually obligated to have, but United wouldn’t even extend that courtesy to Sancho.
It is fair to say that if Sancho doesn’t move this summer, he is the one who has zero chance of getting reintegrated despite Amorim publicly saying he’s open to it.
Sancho’s departure will be the true new era
Ineos’ efforts to transform the club off the pitch with a new training facility must be appreciated, but it’s clear that the true change will be driven by the players.
Amorim is already at work addressing that, and the true new era will begin only when the exiled four are no longer at the club.
Sancho is the face of that group, summing up everything wrong with the Glazers’ recruitment, their contract negotiations, and the player power culture that swallowed and spat out various managers over the years.
As long as the spectre of that name hangs over the club, one eye will always remain in the past despite fervent efforts to move into the future.
For now, he’s been given another reminder that he has no future at the club.
