Tottenham could pull the trigger on a move for Manchester City star Jack Grealish this summer.
Grealish has been out of favour under Pep Guardiola, starting just seven Premier League matches last summer.
Thomas Frank’s side are in desperate need of new recruits with the new campaign right around the corner.
The urgency of that business has only increased following the latest news on James Maddison’s injury.

Tottenham could pursue Grealish after Maddison blow
Maddison is set to be out for between six and seven months with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Darke believes that Spurs could accelerate their pursuit of Grealish after the Maddison news, as they were plotting to replace him anyway.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “Losing Maddison for the season is a huge blow, especially after the failure to land Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, who might well have replaced him as first-choice Number 10.
“Spurs will need to find someone else for that role. I wonder whether they might be tempted to try for Jack Grealish.”
Man City are open to offers for Grealish this summer, with talks reportedly underway about letting him join Everton on loan.

Grealish could rediscover himself at Tottenham
In his time at the Etihad Stadium, Grealish has been shifted to the left flank, in a role that he has struggled to thrive in.
He plays his best football as a maverick from the number 10 position, something which Spurs need after the crushing Maddison blow.
Pape Sarr could thrive in an advanced role but Spurs may want to sign a new player rather than risk that approach
Frank could bring the best out of the ex-Three Lions ace, who has not featured for the national team since October 2024, when they secured a 3-1 win over Finland.
With the World Cup coming next summer, he wants to get into Thomas Tuchel’s plans after missing out on the last six squads, so a move to North London makes sense for the player too.
Levy needs to ensure that Frank is not set up to fail and does not suffer from the same issues that Ange Postecoglou did in his stint in the dugout.
The owner needs to be proactive and sort a replacement for Maddison, otherwise the ex-Brentford man may be doomed from the start.
