Manchester United have been linked with a move for Angelo Stiller
Last season was a painful one for Manchester United and the club’s die-hard fans. Finishing 15th in the Premier League, losing to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, and missing out on European football for next season were all dreams shattering.
Ruben Amorim took over as manager mid-season in 2024/25, but the timing and the conditions were against him. Still, the club made their intentions clear over the ongoing summer transfer window. High-profile signings such as Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have been made, as well as young talent like Diogo Leon have been secured.
Meanwhile, in the recent match, a 2-2 draw happened against Everton at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the Premier League Summer Series on August 3rd. However, goals from Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount secured us the series title. Along with that, the reported arrival of Benjamin Sesko was the answer to our striker problems, but now reports are pointing to the transfer market again.
The dream of a new midfield
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Angelo Stiller.
Manchester United have been linked to the move for the Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller.
According to TBR Football, United are eyeing 24-year-old midfielder Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart. He has made his mark in German football, and clubs like Real Madrid have shown interest in the German midfielder, as per the above-stated report. Amorim is looking to add control and defensive balance to his midfield unit, and Stiller fits that profile.
Technically sound, positionally astute and passing adept, Stiller can keep up with the pace of the Premier League. If the deal comes at the right price, it could prove to be a long-term investment.
Stiller joining United looks good on paper this summer, but we have already spent heavily on Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko this summer. It would not be wise to acquire Stiller at an inflated price without raising funds by selling players. Still, he could fit in superbly in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system as a deep-lying playmaker, giving balance to the front line of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
A club like United in the Premier League is an attraction for every player, and it would be a huge step up for Stiller. However, given our priorities and spending limits in this transfer window, we don’t think this deal will happen this summer transfer window. If it does, it would bring both quality and balance to the squad.
