Leeds United have not really done a great job when it comes to departures this summer. That is in contrast to arrivals, where they have seen seven new players in this transfer window.
There have been three confirmed exits this summer, and one other move in the pipe line. Max Wober was the first exit this summer, as the Austrian joined Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. Highly-rated Leeds youngster Charlie Crew also returns to Doncaster Rovers, where he had a short stint near the end of last season. Mateo Joseph has completed his loan move to Mallorca in Spain.

One deal that has still not been completed is Isaac Schmidt to Werder Bremen. According to reports, the German side had reached an agreement for a season-long loan. But Daniel Farke wants to get in a new fullback before he gives the green light for the Switzerland international to leave this summer.

The search for a fullback continues as Leeds race against time to add new signings. Daniel Farke has called on the club to add some reinforcements before the Premier League kicks off next weekend.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Leeds had made contact with Shakhtar over a move for Vinicius Tobias. As of this weekend, nothing has progressed further. The talks are still at an early stage, and it is believed that the Whites are convincing the player and his camp over a move before they make an official approach to the club. The Ukrainian club are expected to ask for a £17.5million fee.
Alternatives are available
There were also reports that Leeds were pursuing Leicester City fullback James Justin. News on that end has gone quiet, but with a reported £6million, a move looks very plausible.
Lyon star Ainsley Maitland-Niles has also been offered to Premier League clubs including Leeds, these past few weeks. It is believed the former Arsenal man is keen on a return to England.
What happens with Isaac Schmidt?
The defender is still training with the team. He even played in the friendly against Villarreal, and could feature in the match against AC Milan this weekend. Werder Bremen only have a deal in principle, and since Schmidt is yet to officially sign a contract, he is allowed to be in England this month.
