Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Carlos Miguel continues to see his name circulate in Brazil, with a new club now making a move.
According to Brazilian outlet iG, Palmeiras have made enquiries for the 25-year-old as they search for a successor to veteran Weverton. The club have not yet tabled a formal offer to Forest, but have signalled their interest in the former Corinthians player.
The approach comes after weeks of speculationlinking Carlos Miguel to several Brazilian sides. He has already been mentioned in connection with Botafogo – who saw him as a possiblereplacement for John Victor – as well as Corinthians and Flamengo.
BolaVip, meanwhile, report that São Paulo will not be joining the race. After loaning their first-choice goalkeeper to Juventude, the club have decided they will not enter the market for a goalkeeper, ruling out any move for Carlos Miguel.
For now, Palmeiras are the only side to have made a concrete enquiry, but the Forest man’s future remains wide open – andas we covered, it certainly will not be at the City Ground.
