Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has told Napoli fans what they can expect from Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian star has swapped one sky blue club for another as he joined Napoli after his Manchester City contract expired in June.

De Bruyne linked up with the Serie A champions after a summer in which he was linked with a move to MLS.

Foden, who played alongside De Bruyne 183 times over the years, believes Napoli fans are in for a treat.

Phil Foden makes admission about last season

In the same interview, Foden admitted that he wasn’t at his best last season, but he is optimistic about what’s to come in 2025/26.

“It wasn’t a great year, but now I want to be myself again and enjoy playing,” said Foden.

“Playing against new teams is a good way to get back into rhythm.”

In January, Foden told the Manchester Evening News that he had felt physically and mentally burned out.

“I’ve had a lot of things going on off the pitch mentally,” Foden said at the time.

“It’s one of them – sometimes there’s things in life that are bigger than football. This season I’ve struggled a little bit.

“Hopefully come next year I can get my head mentally right, get back where I left the season before – because I know what I’m capable of doing and the quality I have.”
