Intermediaries have reportedly offered Tottenham Hotspur the opportunity to sign 21-year-old Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Tottenham Hotspur will have the chance to sign Savinho in the summer transfer window. Intermediaries have offered the highly-rated Manchester City whizkid to the North London club. Meanwhile, the Lilywhites “appreciate the player” and would be open to signing the 21-year-old winger from their fellow Premier League club.
Savinho and his soaring stock
Savinho has come leaps and bounds since joining Manchester City from Troyes in a deal worth €40 million last summer. The Sao Mateus native spent his formative years in Brazil and graduated from the youth division at Atletico-MG. The youngster has been in Europe since July 2022 and rose in prominence during his loan spell with Girona in the 2023/24 season.
The 21-year-old did not take long to find a stable footing at Manchester City, although injuries and form issues for some of his teammates helped his case. The highly-rated winger has amassed three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances thus far for Manchester City, making a mark with his creative prowess.
The youngster’s progress has helped him break into his national side, and he has turned out 13 times thus far for Brazil. Meanwhile, the Brazilian winger’s time at Manchester City may end after only one season, with intermediaries offering him to Tottenham Hotspur. The 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners are open to securing his services in the summer transfer window.
London calling?
Recent reports have suggested that Tottenham Hotspur may launch an offensive to sign Savinho from Manchester City in the summer transfer window. The North London club’s interest makes sense, considering Son Heung-min has left a gaping hole in the offensive unit at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With Tottenham scouring the market for a long-term replacement for Son, the Manchester City winger is an option worth considering. Additionally, Richarlison may leave the North London club in the summer transfer window, and the former Everton attacker’s compatriot can fill his void.
However, it is unclear if Manchester City will be open to parting ways with the 21-year-old Brazilian international in the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see if Savinho ends his spell with Manchester City after only one season amid his links with Tottenham.
