NFL domestic violence prevention: Haslam pledges new approach

Wednesday’s (July 30, Jimmy Haslam: ‘It’s extremely frustrating’ to have 3 domestic violence arrests; vows to do more) PD had an article on how the Haslams’ wanted to work harder to eliminate domestic violence incidents within their organization.

The NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, etc. all have this objective in mind. I’m sure that these efforts are partially targeting the victims of this violence, but one can but think that a less noble cause is the impetus: organization image and asset preservation. Whatever steps that they might take should be made universally available, for others to apply, for those less fortunate who don’t belong to a billion-dollar business.
