Liverpool could turn to four Alexander Isak alternatives if Newcastle United block the striker from leaving St. James' Park this summer. The Premier League champions have been hoping to land Isak as part of their summer spending spree, but Newcastle appear to have pulled the handbrake on any potential deal.
The North East-based outfit are reportedly set to block Isak, who has three years left on his deal, from leaving the club this summer. As such, Liverpool, who are believed to want another attacking addition this summer, could be forced to turn elsewhere. Express Sport have picked out four alternative options.
Bradley Barcola
The forgotten man of Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League triumph. Bradley Barcola was being touted as one of the best wingers in the world during the first half of the campaign, but following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's arrival in January, the Frenchman was somewhat pushed to one side. Barcola is believed to be on Liverpool's shortlist of forward options, but the player himself is said to favour a PSG stay. As such, it could be a difficult deal to pull off, not least because PSG will likely demand a hefty fee for the 22-year-old.
