A Fabrizio Romano update bodes well for Wolves, but other teams will be equally excited.
Vitor Pereira will be happy to hear that someone who just came up on his radar is expected to leave his current club.
The options behind Jorgen Strand Larsen are scarce, and with forward exits also being discussed at Wolves, a new face up front would be a welcome sight.

But Wolves will have to compete for a player who is generating a lot of buzz due to his versatility as an attacker.
Fabrizio Romano says Wolves target Matthis Abline is expected to leave Nantes this summer
In a post to X, Fabrizio Romano addressed the situation unfolding at Nantes, as 22-year-old Matthis Abline begins to eye a move.

As previously reported, Abline will command a significant fee, as Nantes president Waldemar Kita values the young striker at £43 million.
Whether there is any budging from the French side on that price is unknown as of yet.

Wolves have registered interest in the Frenchman, but they will face stiff competition in getting a deal over the line.
Eintracht Frankfurt will be tough for Wolves to beat in race for Matthis Abline
German side Eintracht Frankfurt have one specific trick that has worked for them over and over again. They bring in a young, promising striker and develop them into an attractive target for top clubs who are willing to spend top dollar.
Frankfurt are a club that never ever budges when it comes to transfers.

Having just sold Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool for a whopping £79 million including add-ons, Frankfurt are looking for a striker to repeat the process with.
Abline fits their ideal profile, as a young, versatile attacker capable of playing across the front-line. Wolves simply do not have the means to go million-for-million with the German side, who have also been eyeing a move for Fabio Silva.
It will be interesting to see how close the next bid comes to that £43 million mark, but if Frankfurt are set on Abline, it may be case closed on a potential move to Molineux.
