Hello and welcome to the ECHO's live coverage of Everton vs. Roma at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The match signals the start of a new era for the Blues. It will be the first time the stadium has been at full capacity and will be the maiden visit to the state-of-the-art facility for a number of supporters following two test events.
It will be a historic moment for the club, having previously played at Goodison Park for 132 years. The first competitive game at Hill Dickinson Stadium will be played in the Premier League on August 24 against Brighton & Hove Albion.
There is still a football match to be played though. Well, two in this case.
After the Blues and the Giallorossi take on each other, Legends teams representing each side will also take to the field. Peter Reid and Fabio Capello will be in the respective dugouts for Everton and Roma.
Everton supporters will also hope to get a glimpse of their latest summer signings, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall the most recent to arrive. Carlos Alcaraz, Mark Travers, Thierno Barry and Adam Aznou have also joined this summer.
Roma, who are also owned by The Friedkin Group, are also starting a new chapter. After Claudio Ranieri stepped aside as manager at the end of last season, Gian Piero Gasperini is now at the helm after a successful spell with Atalanta.
