Lucas Perri makes first start, Dan James returns – Confirmed Leeds United XI to face AC Milan

Leeds United play their final preparation game before the Premier League kicks off next weekend. A lot has gone on this week with regards to transfer deals.

After the Villarreal game, Daniel Farke urged the team to add a few reinforcements, especially in attack. He also mentioned that the team needed some quality in attack as they lost Manor Solomon when he returned on loan.

“I want to be competitive in the Premier League level. We are on a good path.

“But right now if we have to start like this, we are not ready so we need a few more things to happen. And for that I don’t want to praise us too much so we are not in the mood to reflect.

“We need to stay with foot on the gas. Yes, we are a good path, but not there yet. We have to keep going.”

Per the Athletic, Leeds have planned to add a number 10, a winger and a striker. A lot of business is expected to be done between now and the end of the month. But no one is ruling out major signings before the Everton game

This week, Leeds have completed three transfer deals. Charlie Crew joined Doncaster Rovers on loan, he will now have a full season of first team football ahead of him. Joe Gelhardt also sealed a loan deal to return to Hull City.

After a week of transfer rumours, Mateo Joseph finally got his wish of a move to Spain. The forward has completed a loan move to Mallorca. Leeds have also received a huge boost when it comes to Rodrigo Muniz, as Fulham are set to be flexible on the asking price. Ben Doak has also emerged as a serious option this week.

Daniel Farke makes four changes to the lineup against Villarreal.

Lucas Perri is set to make his first start for the Whites in goal. The backline stays the same, while Ao Tanaka replaces Sean Longstaff in the middle of the park.

Lukas Nmecha and Brenden Aaronson drop to the bench as Joel Piroe and Dan James return to the lineup. The Welshman has shaken off a knock he had that let him miss the Villarreal game.
