Goalkeeper Illan Meslier has been left out of the squad completely for the game against AC Milan. Lucas Perri, Alex Cairns and Karl Darlow made the squad, with the Brazilian set to start his first ever game with the squad.
This has raised a lot of eyebrows, after the French keeper was in action against Villarreal. Meslier has been with the team in training camp, despite the rumours surrounding him. Daniel Farke even recently mentioned that he is pleased with his core of goalkeepers heading into the season.
Recent West Ham transfer could trigger transfer move
West Ham have confirmed the signing of Danish goalkeeper Mads Hermansen on a permanent deal from Leicester City. The Foxes could now be in the market for a new first choice keeper. Ben Jacobs reported a few weeks ago that there was a real possibility that Leicester go after Illan Meslier this summer.
Nothing has been confirmed, but everyone around Leeds United will be waiting for the post-match press conference to confirm the real reason for this absence.
