Manchester United pre-season player ratings from 1-1 Fiorentina draw

Ruben Amorim's side culminated their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw against Serie A side Fiorentina at Old Trafford. The Reds fell behind after just eight minutes when Simon Sohm found space in the penalty area to convert from a corner.

However, the Red Devils grew into the match as it progressed and were unfortunate not to go on to win the game after controlling the bulk of the contest. They equalized from a Bruno Fernandes corner in the 25th minute when Leny Yoro put pressure on Robin Gosens to force an own goal which was conceded by former United icon David de Gea.

The main attraction was the first Old Trafford outing for United's new signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha while fans also got to see Benjamin Sesko get paraded infront of the fans for the first time after the Red Devils sought off competition from Newcastle United to secure the Slovenian international’s signature.

Overall, there we plenty of positives for Ruben Amorim to take from the game ahead of the Premier League opener against Arsenal but the one negative came when Ayden Heaven was forced off the pitch during the second half with what appeared to be a thigh injury. The young defender had otherwise impressed in the match with good distribution.

Here’s how each of the players used by Manchester United fared in their final pre-season outing.

Could do very little to prevent Fiorentina's opener. A steady game with no clear errors to report.
