Are you ready for a Christmas gift from the NBA in August?
On Friday, Shams Charania revealed this year’s Christmas Day schedule, and it has five exciting games – and a couple of surprises.
The festivities kick off with the Cleveland Cavaliers heading to New York to take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
That will be followed by the San Antonio Spurs taking on the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
Then it’s the Houston Rockets at the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors, and the Minnesota Timberwolves playing the Denver Nuggets.
As always, millions of basketball fans will be tuned in and ready to celebrate.

Christmas Day is one of the biggest moments of the year for the league, and the association is very careful to put together a special schedule.
They want fans to witness the best of the best battle on the court, and their selection shows who they view as the greatest teams out there.
Some fans are shocked that teams like the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks aren’t in the lineup.
Others, such as the Los Angeles Clippers, also didn’t make the cut.
But the NBA chose the squads it thinks will dominate in 2025-26.
However, because of surprises, injuries, and bad luck, there will be other teams proving a lot at this point in the season.
