The Rossoneri have been left light up front after the departures of Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic this summer, and so Massimiliano Allegri will have to rely heavily on Santiago Gimenez to lead the line as things stand.

However, the expectation is that more firepower will be added in this transfer window to ensure that we have enough competition and depth in attack, and according to [Fabrizio Romano](https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1954175388956963120), Man Utd are said to be clear on what they are willing to accept to allow Hojlund to leave Old Trafford, and that’s an initial loan worth €6m for the upcoming season, plus an option-to-buy included in the agreement.
While it’s added that Milan are keen and the Premier League giants are making it clear that they wish to move the Danish international on, time will tell if that’s a proposal that the Rossoneri are willing to accept and move forward with, or if further negotiations are required.
Hojlund has struggled to entirely convince at Man Utd as it’s some challenge to become the man to lead the line for the club especially through a difficult period, but his previous spell with Atalanta will certainly have given confidence to the Milan recruitment team that the Dane could be an important addition to Allegri’s squad.
The initial loan element of the touted deal makes sense as it gives both sides a year to assess and determine if they wish to continue together, but €6m is a hefty fee and so that may well be a sticking point at this stage with Milan perhaps trying to reduce that if possible.
Given the suggestion of Hojlund being our solution in attack has now run for a few days and doesn’t seem to be going away, it would appear to be a genuine possibility for Allegri this summer, and so time will tell if it develops into something more serious and a deal can be struck.
Milan have been busy this summer in rebuilding the squad and allowing Allegri to mould it into his own, both with incomings and outgoings, and so it now remains to be seen if Hojlund will be one of the new pieces to be added to try and help us become much more competitive moving forward.
