How Jack Harrison reacted to Leeds United fans booing him against AC Milan, it says a lot about him

Jack Harrison has returned to Leeds United following two seasons on loan at Everton, and as things stand, it looks like he’ll be a Leeds United player when the new season starts.

Leeds United are going into a new Premier League season with a new-look squad. So far this summer, Leeds United have signed seven new players, and all seven look set to play key roles next season.

But for Daniel Farke, there’s another almost new signing in Jack Harrison. The former Man City winger returns after spending the last two seasons on loan at Everton.

And whilst many Leeds United fans don’t want to see Harrison play for the club again, it’s looking like he could well feature in the near future.

Throughout the summer, Harrison has been featuring in pre-season friendlies. And he came off the bench in Leeds United’s game against Milan in Ireland on Saturday, which ended 1-1 thanks to an Anton Stach equaliser in the second half.

But for Harrison, the game was once again a reminder that he has a lot to do to win back the faith of Leeds United’s supporters.

Leeds United supporters heard booing Jack Harrison

Earlier in the summer, Leeds United played Manchester United in a pre-season friendly in Stockholm. That game also ended in a draw, and it was the Whites’ first game back after winning the Championship title last season. And to many people’s surprise, Harrison started the game.

But few will be surprised to know that the Leeds United fans booed Harrison during the game. It came after Harrison hinted he wanted to stay at Everton following the expiry of his second loan spell, although right now it looks like Farke has plans for the 28-year-old.

Nevertheless, Leeds United fans are still divided over Harrison. In fact, in the game against Milan, Leeds fans were heard booing Harrison once again. He eventually came off the bench and almost every touch he had was met by boos from the Leeds United fans, but Harrison appeared to handle it well.

Every time Jack Harrison runs down the touchline towards the stand behind Perri's goal there's booing. He seems to be taking it well.

Is Jack Harrison trying to make things right at Leeds United?

It appears as though Harrison isn’t bowing down to the jeering from the Leeds United supporters, which doesn’t look set to stop any time soon. Per Graham Smyth’s tweet, he handled the booing well, and that’s not the only positive thing that Harrison has done this summer.

Previous reports revealed how Harrison has been doing extra training this summer in a bid to get himself in shape and in contention for the start of the new season, with Leeds United playing Everton on the opening day of the campaign next week.

Whether or not Harrison actually has a future at Elland Road remains to be seen. The summer transfer window shuts on September 1st, and so there’s still time for Harrison to leave the club.

Meanwhile, Leeds United are searching for new attacking players which could easily shunt Harrison down the pecking order and out of the club.

For the fans, it may be best that Harrison moves on on a permanent basis, but if he can feature in the opening stages of the Premier League and show some promise, then he might do enough to win back the support and win back a place in the side.
