Wolves working on player contract for loan exit – Manager in contact to help transfer

Last week, Corriere dello Sport reported AS Roma see Wolves’ Fabio Silva as a key target and the player is keen on a transfer to the Stadio Olimpico.

The forward, who spent last season on loan at Las Palmas, was awaiting news from his agent about a transfer, with the Italian side looking to execute an initial loan deal.

This would require Wolves to extend Silva’s contract, which currently expires in summer 2026.

Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports Vitor Pereira’s side are working on a renewal for the Portuguese striker in an attempt to help a loan deal to go through.

Roma have an agreement over personal terms with the 23-year-old and talks have taken place between Wolves sporting director Domenico Teti and his Giallorossi counterpart Frederic Massara.

New manager Gian Piero Gasperini has already contacted the striker about a move and has big plans for him next season.

Work is underway to make a loan deal happen, as Wolves and Roma now have a draft agreement over the larger terms of a transfer.

Borussia Dortmund have tried to make a move but as things stand, Silva only wants to join the Roman side.

Ideally, Wolves would have wanted to sell the player this summer, but his opinion is playing a key role in the move.
