Former Lakers forward becomes coach of Phoenix Suns

Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Mike Muscala has joined the Phoenix Suns as an assistant coach.

11-year NBA veteran forward Mike Muscala is coming back to the NBA, but in a different role.

According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Muscala is joining the Phoenix Suns as an assistant coach.

The 34-year-old played his last NBA game in the 2023–24 season, wearing the Oklahoma City Thunder jersey and appearing in 16 games that season.

During his career, he has also played for teams such as the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, and Detroit Pistons.

Muscala played a total of 548 games in his NBA career and has career averages of 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds.
