Everton could potentially seal a deal for Aston Villa captain John McGinn towards the end of the transfer window.
The 30-year-old has been a key player for the Villans over the years, but may end his seven-year stint in Birmingham soon.
David Moyes wants McGinn at Everton, as the Toffees look to add more depth to their squad before the end of August.
While Villa don’t want to sell the Scotland international, their situation in the coming weeks will undoubtedly be one to keep an eye on.

Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) may force Villa to offload McGinn at some point, according to the Daily Mail.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The news outlet reports (9 August) that the Toffees have “strong” interest in the Scottish midfielder, who’s been suggested as the “perfect” player for Moyes.
It’s been claimed that while the Lions don’t want to sell their captain, their financial issues could potentially leave them with no other choice than to sell.
Therefore, the Merseyside outfit may have the opportunity to make a last-ditch effort to sign McGinn towards the end of the ongoing window.

Who will McGinn replace under Moyes?
Villa have rejected an £18million bid for McGinn this summer, but the Toffees may return to make another offer closer to Deadline Day.
If the 30-year-old does sign for the Blues, he will arguably expect a guaranteed role in the starting lineup.
Moyes has some decent options in the engine room at his disposal, but will arguably have to drop someone to fit the Scottish midfielder into his plans.
Carlos Alcaraz completed a permanent transfer to Everton after signing on loan from Flamengo in the winter transfer window.

Idrissa Geuye has also extended his contract and may have had specific demands regarding his role in the team before doing so.
James Garner is also thriving in a deeper role for the Blues, while a significant fee has been spent to buy Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea.
Alcaraz could potentially be looking over his shoulders with McGinn’s arrival, as the two possess somewhat similar characteristics, but only time will tell whether the Scotland international will move to L5.
