Leeds United have finished their pre-season, capping it with a 1-1 draw against AC Milan in Ireland.
Leeds United have played some big hitters in pre-season so far. In their opening pre-season game, Leeds United drew 0-0 with Manchester United before winning games in Germany on a pre-season tour.
Then, Daniel Farke’s side followed that up with a 1-1 draw against Villarreal and then a 1-1 draw against Milan on Saturday, which sets the Whites up for their season opener against Everton on Monday August 18th, at Elland Road.
So far this summer, Leeds United have signed seven new players, and all look like quality signings, in particular Anton Stach to name one.
But it was 2024 signing Jayden Bogle who has given fans a scare, having missed the Milan game through injury.

Jayden Bogle injury boost revealed after Leeds United draw with Milan
Leeds United signed Bogle from Sheffield United last summer, and the flying right-back went on to play a key role as the Whites won the Championship title with the 25-year-old featuring 44 times in the Championship, scoring six and assisting four more.
But ahead of the Milan game, it was revealed that Bogle had an issue with his hip flexor. Farke expected him to miss the game in Ireland, and he did so, with Isaac Schmidt starting on the right.
After the game though it was revealed that Bogle is expected to return to training this week, and he is also expected to be available for the season opener against Everton. It’s a huge boost for Farke who all of a sudden has found out his options on the right side of defence are quite thin on the ground.

Daniel Farke may have to adjust his Leeds United transfer wishes
Having signed seven new players with new names in goal, in defence, and in midfield, it is now likely that the main focus for these will be in attack. And already it’s been confirmed that Leeds United want to sign three new attackers with a new number 10, a new winger, and a new striker, all on Farke’s wishlist before the September 1st deadline.
But the injury to Bogle has highlighted a potential weak spot in the side. Schmidt joined Leeds United last summer along with Bogle, but the Swiss right-back barely featured.
Whilst many Leeds fans expect Schmidt to eventually come good, he’s drastically inexperienced in England and completely inexperienced in the Premier League. Should Bogle pick up a long-term injury next season, it will leave a huge void on the right side of defence, with Bogle’s position in particular being a key source of attacking potency in the Leeds side.
For Farke, it could be a good idea to sign a full-back who could operate on both the right and left flanks before the window shuts. One such player who could have been a good addition was Kyle Walker-Peters who eventually joined West Ham.
There will be other options out there, and after the Bogle injury scare, Farke may well consider the right-back, or the full-back position in general, to be one of focus in what’s left of the summer transfer window.
