Benjamin Sesko has sealed his £73.6million move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils will shell out an initial £66.3m, followed by a further £7.3m in achievable add-ons, as part of a significant revamp of their attack, which also includes Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

However, the Slovenian forward may face stiff competition at Old Trafford, going up against the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. Sesko, 22, has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs for years, including Newcastle, who Sesko chose to reject in favour of a move to United.

Sesko was a key figure at Leipzig and previously at Red Bull Salzburg, commanding attention from Europe's top clubs with his towering presence and powerful performances in Austria and Germany.

However, one thing that won't be replicated in Manchester is his preferred No.30 shirt, which has already been claimed by another new signing, left-back Diego Leon.

The 18-year-old Paraguayan, who joined from Cerro Porteno last month, made a strong impression during pre-season.

He's seen as the understudy to Patrick Dorgu for the upcoming season, with young Harry Amass being allowed to go out on loan due to Leon's immediate impact, reports the Express.

Consequently, Sesko won't be able to secure his preferred shirt number at United. He did previously No.21 at Liefering, though, and that digit is currently held by Antony.

The Brazilian is available for transfer and could potentially free up that number for Sesko.

Should he wish to continue the tradition of United forwards wearing the iconic No.9 shirt, he will have to wait for Hojlund to depart.

The Dane is likely to make way for Sesko, despite his public stance of wanting to stay and fight for his shirt. United will consider bids in the region of £40m for Hojlund.
