New England Patriots unveil bronze statue of Tom Brady

The Patriots honoring the greatest player in franchise history on Friday, Tom Brady, with a 12-foot bronze statue that will greet millions of fans at Gillette Stadium for years to come!

It was a surreal moment, the greatest Patriot of all time scoring one of the greatest honors!

"Look, I know what the statue represents. It's not about one guy, it never is. It never has been, and in football, it never will be. It's about a team and a commitment about being great together," Brady said.

Pats owner Robert Kraft, who was the driving force behind the statue, also delivered a heartfelt thank you!

"Tommy, after my family, there's no human being on the planet that I love and respect as much as you," Kraft said.

The GOAT was quick to call a very funny audible!

"But in the end, the statue isn't just for Pat's fans, it'll also give Jets fan something to throw their beers at as they leave the stadium every year!" Brady said.

Fans came from all over to see Friday's historic event.

> Dave Eid: "Dylan, you drove all the way from Ann Arbor, Michigan to see tonight's ceremony. What did you think?"

> Dylan McGillicuddy: "I thought it was great, I would have liked to have been a little closer. I mean, maybe if I had a few more inches on some people, I would've seen a little bit more, but I think it was a great time overall."

"I think the statue was great, honestly. Like, they got his face right. He's the GOAT, so you have to do it right. I think it was a lot of fun, yeah!" Cameron Scituate from Massachusetts said.

We also caught up with some Mainers who shared their favorite Tom Brady memory!

"Yeah, when he was in Sanford, Maine, when he was a catcher for the Patriots alumni team, before he was anybody, he came to play at Goodall Park, and nobody knew it at the time," Andy MacPhail, another attendee, said.

It’s hard to imagine there will ever be another player like Tom Brady! A sixth-round pick in the 2000 draft who was penciled in as a potential back-up, only to go on and have the greatest career in NFL history!
