There were chances for both teams as they both looked to end their season preparations on a high, but neither was able to break the deadlock.
New Bournemouth keeper Djordje Petrovic played a big hand in saving a penalty on the stroke of halftime in what was the best chance for either side as the game ended without score.
Andoni Iraola handed first home starts to Adrien Truffert, Petrovic and Junior Kroupi, as the boss got a final look at his squad before the season starts.

Two chances went the way of the hosts next.

Then, David Brooks and Ben Winterburn exchanged passes inside the Sociedad box and the Welshman got a shot off, but it was well saved by Alex Remiro down to his left.

Petrovic made a good save to tip a corner onto the crossbar.
The Serbian stopper then made a brilliant save from a Sociedad penalty to keep the game level at halftime.
Into one added minute at the end of the first half, a long throw came in from the left and was headed onto Orri Oskarsson, who headed the ball into Truffert’s arm, referee Bramall pointing to the spot.
But Petrovic made an excellent save down to his left from Oyarzabal’s spot kick, the rebound going wide off the post in the final act of the first half.
The Cherries went close twice in a matter of minutes at the start of the second half.

Then, Semenyo won the ball deep in the final third in the press, he passed to Winterburn who pulled the ball across the box for Brooks to hit first time, and Remiro saved behind.
Daniel Adu-Adjei replaced Kroupi on the hour mark, and Semenyo went close moments later, picked out by Senesi with a good ball up from the back, the Ghanaian cut inside and wasn’t far away from finding the top corner.
Tavernier drew a solid stop out of Remiro after Truffert’s cross reached him on the edge of the box with 14 minutes left to play.
