The New York Giants squared off against the Buffalo Bills in their first pre-season game of the year. New York is looking to build for the future while also attempting to be competitive with Russell Wilson at quarterback.
Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart impressed in his debut. He finished 12-19 for 154 passing yards, and one touchdown. He also added three carries for 24 yards on the ground.
However, some major accusations surfaced during the game.

Dart’s ex-girlfriend was attracting attention on Instagram as he was making his NFL debut:
Though the timeline is a bit foggy, Dart used to date Lola Sexton. There were rumors about them ending things on rough terms, which led to Sexton sharing her side to the story in a since-deleted TikTok.
“I really didn’t want to have to do this, but some stuff has been brought to my attention, and I just feel like I have to clear the air and share my side of the story,” Sexton said. “So yes, he was cheating on me for a little over a year and a half, from what I know. I found out from an anonymous text message, whoever you are, thank you. Thank you so much.”
Sexton hasn’t said anything about Dart in several months. From the outside looking in, it seems like both sides moved on.
Besides, Dart has an NFL career to worry about. He’s trying to prove he can be the long-term quarterback for the Giants.
We’ll see if Dart can live up to the hype. So far, he’s off to a great start.

The Jaxson Dart era is officially underway for the New York Giants.
The G-Men traded back into the first round of this year’s draft to select Dart with the 25th overall pick. Clearly, they saw something in the Ole Miss product. While there have been some growing pains in training camp, Brian Daboll and the rest of New York’s staff have said nothing but good things about their rookie quarterback.
“I’d say Jaxson is right on schedule from what we’d expect in terms of just understanding the offense, continuing to grow and learn every day,” Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka said. “Every day we’re presenting him — not just him but all the quarterbacks — with different situations and some situations you’ve probably never seen before.
Those have been good to build off of, whether it’s in two-minute, whether it’s a third-down situation or a certain blitz look that we’re getting, he’s able to kind of grow and learn from those examples and now as he starts banking more and more looks, more and more reps — we do a lot of this throughout the walk-through as well, he can kind of see — now he’s starting to put the picture together a little bit better and cleaner for a rookie.”
