It appears the arrival of Sesko has opened the door for Hojlund to leave. The Danish international was an unused substitute against Fiorentina, seemingly making it clear his future could lie away from Old Trafford.

Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly started discussions through intermediaries for the Danish international. The deal would demand a £5.2 million loan fee, with a £39 million buy fee, which would represent a significant loss on the£72 million they paid Atlanta in 2023 for the forward. There has been no green light from Hojlund yet, with the Dane insisting he stays.

The signing of Sesko appears to have given the Old Trafford faithful a much-needed boost. It’s clear the club has several holes to fill, but the arrival of Sesko, alongside Mbeumo, has strengthened their attack.
