Injury Updates & Other Observations From Day 14 Of Seahawks Training Camp

1. Updates on Uchenna Nwosu, Tyrice Knight and other injuries.

The Seahawks continue to be without outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who opened camp on the physically unable to perform list, the result of offseason knee surgery following the season. Macdonald didn't have an update on when Nwosu will return to on-field work, but said the veteran pass rusher is getting in good work in his rehab process.

"No update on Chenna, but he's kicking butt, "Macdonald said. "Matter of fact, he's going so hard that we've got to slow him down."

Starting linebacker Tyrice Knight, who left practice last week with a knee injury, is recovering from that, but also has a separate medical issue that will keep him out for a bit, though Macdonald said he expecting Knight back for the regular season.

"Tyrice, he's getting close with his knee," Macdonald said. "He also has another medical issue that we're working through right now. We're not going to give you all the details on it, but we're working through it, and we expect him to be back for the opener. But it's going to be a couple of weeks.

Center Olu Oluwatimi, who has been dealing with a back injury took part in the early part of practice, but was held out after his back tightened up.

"He gave it a go today, and it just tightened up on him a little bit, so just out of precaution we shut him down earlier in practice," Macdonald said. "So probably tomorrow or early in the week hopefully."

Also dealing with a back injury is long snapper Chris Stoll. Macdonald said, Stoll "is still working through his back. Getting better."
