Man Utd loanee shines during'really strong debut', 9/10 talent has'delivered'immediately in 4-1 win

Manchester United have a busy loan department this season, and now as the first weekend of EFL action concludes, plenty of talents have been in action.

While Manchester United were rounding out pre-season with a penalty shoot-out victory over Fiorentina at Old Trafford, several loanees were beginning their campaign at new clubs.

Dan Gore made his second debut for Rotherham, Jack Moorhouse was in action for Leyton Orient and Ethan Wheatley struggled for Northampton Town to name a few.

All the young players who are on loan really need to make a success of themselves this season on loan to have any hope of ending up in Ruben Amorim’s squad, as they aren’t currently.

However, that isn’t the case for one loan player, who Amorim will absolutely be keeping one eye on this season.

Now, he’s made his debut and was very impressive in doing so.

Vitek has been praised by the Bristol City manager during pre-season as his brilliance in goal is immediately impressive.

This praise followed Vitek impressing in his first appearance for Bristol, but now he has made his official debut in the Championship and immediately looks the part.

As Bristol won 4-1 over Sheffield United on opening day, Vitek was among the best players for the winners.

Vitek started in goal, and FotMob gave the 21-year-old a match rating of 8.2 for his top display in goal.

The goalkeeper from the Czech Republic made five saves in the game, preventing 0.42 goals while he also unsurprisingly won all of his duels, made easy by his size we are sure.

United are priming Vitek for the future and if he plays like this all season, he will be knocking on the door next summer.

Bristol press raving about performance of Radek Vitek

Vitek has had two solid and encouraging loans in a row, with United clearly impressed as he hasn’t been sold as other promising players have been lately after playing well on loan.

Now in the Championship, it seems inevitable that Vitek becomes a Premier League player, especially if he can maintain these levels on loan.

Vitek has been heralded in the local press in Bristol for his debut, with the Bristol Post rating him a 9/10 for his debut and raving in their review.

“The Manchester United loanee has been brought to Bristol City to offer a reliable pair of hands in the absence of Max O’Leary, and he delivered on that promise on his debut.

“The two saves he produced to deny Gustavo Hamer and Louie Barry in the first half were smart, and he was arguably even better after the break. Vitek also displayed a willingness to come and collect when under crosses throughout. A really strong debut.”
