According to a recent report from AS, Vinicius Jr. has come back to Real Madrid looking sharp and motivated, despite ongoing uncertainty over his contract renewal.
The Brazilian forward has completed the first four days of an unusual short preseason at Valdebebas and is already turning heads with his energy and intensity.
“He seems very eager,” sources inside the club admitted. The early signs suggest Vinicius is determined to make this season one of his best, and with a lot on the line, his strong start is no surprise.
One of his main goals is to get back to his peak form and put himself in the best position for a contract extension.
Talks over a new deal have been at a standstill since February, when the club asked him how much he wanted to renew his contract, which runs until 2027.
Both sides are open to an agreement, but until something is signed, the situation remains a little tense.

Another major motivation for Vinicius is the 2026 World Cup, set to take place next summer in the United States, but what is missing from his profile is a standout performance at a major international tournament.
This could be his perfect chance, especially with Carlo Ancelotti now also managing the Brazil national team. That connection could give him the freedom and confidence to shine on the biggest stage.
All these factors are shaping Vinicius’s mindset as the new season approaches.
He wants to prove that any dip in form is firmly behind him and that he can deliver both for Real Madrid and Brazil. Judging by his start to preseason, he is on the right track.
