As Chelsea continue to look to make big money on player sales to facilitate their spending, players who made an impact in their Conference League and Club World Cup winning campaigns have departed the club already this summer.
One of those who has moved on is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who did not nail down a regular starting role despite being the first signing made for Enzo Maresca.
Despite Dewsbury-Hall not wanting to leave Chelsea, he moved for a similar fee to which he joined for in a move to Everton.
Toffees fans believed Dewsbury-Hall would instantly become a starter, and it has not taken long for that to be the case as he lined up in the number 10 role for their friendly against Roma.

Chelsea were desperate to sell Dewsbury-Hall
Many believed that the midfielder was providing a great option off the bench for Chelsea in the 12 months he was at the club, however the Blues did not take long to cash in on the player.
Chelsea needed to sell Dewsbury-Hall after their UEFA sanction, which left them having to meet the governing body’s terms to avoid future punishment.
Selling players and generating profit is therefore crucial for them to register new players such as Joao Pedro and Liam Delap for the upcoming season of Champions League football.
There is also a desire to sign more players before the transfer window closes. Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho have both been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
