Despite Leeds United’s 1 – 1 pre-season draw v AC Milan, the same concerns remain about the Yorkshire squad and transfer business.
The Whites held their last pre-season fixture at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, with hopes of a strong display rife amongst the Leeds faithful.
Leeds went behind in the first half when a cross found its way through the box and Santiago Jimenez smashed home for Milan to open the scoring.
In the second half, Anton Stach scored a stunner to level the game and Leeds looked the likelier to make something happen late on, but the score remained level.
There were positives to take from the display, with some new signings having a decent run out, but Daniel Farke still reminded the Leeds fans and hierarchy what the squad is missing.

Daniel Farke concerned about obvious gap in Leeds United’s squad
After Leeds United’s 1 – 1 draw v Villarreal last week, Daniel Farke shared his concerns as to where the squad was falling short.
Post match, Farke said: “We know in the offence we are not ready for Premier League level.
“We’ve proven we can be ready for one game and for that I am not too concerned at the moment as it stands.

“I know especially with the offence, in the last bit you can add some quality. Of course as a manager you want all the players available on the first day of pre-season and to have training sessions with them because they need to adapt to the group and the principles.”

Farke’s sentiments were unchanged after Saturday’s draw with AC Milan, with the Leeds manager saying: “In comparison to our Championship side, we have not improved our offence.
“We definitely need signings. We are not prepared yet for a long Premier League season.”
Farke also highlighted that Leeds need players ‘who can score and provide assists,’ again flagging their lack of a standout number 9.
With 22 days until the window shuts, former Leeds United player, Tony Dorigo has outlined what he thinks Leeds still need, but will the club provide Farke with what he needs?

Leeds United still have important transfer business to carry out
The main issue Farke has flagged in recent weeks is Leeds’ lack of attacking reinforcements.
There is argument that Leeds have replaced the likes of Patrick Bamford and the now departed Mateo Joseph with Lukas Nmecha, who has had a decent pre-season.
Despite this, the club is still targeting that vital number 9 to sit up top with the likes of Nmecha and Joel Piroe.
In recent days, Nico Gonzalez has been linked to Leeds, the Argentinian who plays for Juventus can operate as a striker or winger.
This is not the first time his name has been mentioned, with Marcelo Bielsa keen on Gonzalez at Stuttgart in 2020 (The Mirror).
Leeds also still have an eye on Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, with Serie A outfit Atalanta BC also initially in the race for his signature.
But now, Atalanta have moved on to other targets over Muniz, with Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta emerging as their primary target. It perhaps leaves Leeds with an easier path to Muniz’s signature.
With Leeds up against the clock, it now remains to be seen whether they can secure a number 9 before time runs out.
