Nottingham Forest target Yunus Musah has been the subject of a €22 million (£19m) bid from Napoli, it has been claimed.
The Reds are said to have their sights on the versatile AC Milan midfielder as they continue to seek summer reinforcements.
The 22-year-old has been on Forest’s radar for some time. And they are said to have reignited their interest in him as they prepare for the 2025/26 campaign.
Musah is in line to leave Milan before the transfer window closes. He has no shortage of suitors eyeing him up, with Forest reportedly among them.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Reds and fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers are both ‘ready to offer’ €25 million (£21m) for the USA international. Milan would ‘not oppose’ any such move.
However, the same newspaper has today claimed that Napoli have submitted a first offer for the player with the Neapolitan side eager to beat Forest and any other suitors to his signature.
That, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, involves an offer of €22 million plus bonuses for the former Arsenal and Valencia player.
It is not the first time that Napoli have been engaged with a transfer battle with Premier League club Forest this summer. Dan Ndoye left Bologna to join the English side this summer, after Napoli were also interested in the Swiss international.
