James Trafford started from the off during Manchester City’s 3-0 win against Palermo.
The former Burnley goalkeeper had a ropey start to the game as his attempt to play out from the back ricocheted off the opposition forward as he took a needless touch before passing the ball.
However, James Trafford eased into proceedings as the game progressed, even though he was largely untested.
Manchester City were largely dominant and when Palermo tried to hit them on the break, the hosts’ attacks mostly fell flat.

Even Ashley Cole is a big fan of Trafford as a shotstopper and with the ball at his feet after coaching him for England’s Under-21 side.
