Wolves most interested in defender – Player decision key as €20m needed

Juventus’ Nicolo Savona has been linked with a host of clubs in the Premier League and Wolves are now a key candidate for the full-back.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports Vitor Pereira’s side are keeping an eye on the Italian, and are facing competition from Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

They claim the Magpies could be offered a chance to sign the 22-year-old in Juve’s overly-optimistic move for Sandro Tonali. TuttoJuve have a different stance.

The outlet report that Wolves are a more prominent candidate to sign the versatile defender. Juventus currently want €20m to sell him, but Savona’s decision is going to be key as he is not too interested in a transfer.

He is strongly inclined towards staying in Turin and fighting for his place, having shown enough qualities last season in Serie A.

Wolves might not face difficulty in meeting the price-tag, although another issue is that Savona is currently injured and likely to be back in action in September.

Juve have placed him on their transfer list for the summer but the outlet believe that the situation is unlikely to change.
