Jack Grealish has been heavily linked with a move to Everton this summer.

The England star has fallen badly out of favour at Manchester City, and Pep Guardiola is trying to get him away from the club by any possible means before the 1 September transfer deadline.

Everton have recently stepped up their interest in Grealish, who has also been linked consistently with the likes of West Ham and his former club Aston Villa.

David Moyes is keen to add a marquee signing to his ranks ahead of the upcoming campaign, and the 29-year-old is certainly a player who would prompt excitement from the Toffees faithful.

Grealish ‘opens door’ to Everton move as advanced talks underway

Everton have recently approached City regarding a loan move for Grealish, and they have seemingly been making good progress on the deal over the last few days.

The Merseysiders know they don’t have the financial power to meet City’s valuation for a permanent move, but they seem increasingly keen on the prospect of taking him on loan for the entire 2025/26 season.

He needs a move away in order to revitalise his career

Grealish has long since accepted that his time at the Etihad Stadium is drawing to a close, but his stance on a possible next club has been unclear for some time.

However, the wideman is now understood to have “opened doors” to a move to Everton, with talks now advancing ahead of a possible agreement, according to Fabrizio Romano via X.

Given the volume of interest that has been seen in Grealish this summer, the fact that he has seemingly indicated that he would be open to a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium is a huge boost.

Grealish signing could transform Moyes’ side

Moyes has been desperate to bring further reinforcements in at Everton, and he would be delighted if they could get a deal for Grealish over the line.

He was one of the hottest properties in English football before his switch to Manchester, and although things didn’t work out for him there, he still has plenty left to give at the top level.

If Moyes could make him a central part of the Toffees’ side, and essentially hand him freedom to create, then he could dictate everything about the team.

Grealish was hugely effective during his final few years at Villa when he was allowed free rein to tear defences apart, and if he could be afforded that once again at Everton, it could completely transform the expectations for them this season.
