Vitor Pereira remains keen to land more players before the transfer window closes – and one Wolves target could cost at least £15 million.
Fans are concerned ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, with Wolves going winless in pre-season.
Wolves lost 1-0 to Celta Vigo on Saturday at Molineux, and the performance was worrying to say the least.
It hammered home the feeling that Wolves need three or four more new players before the window closes.
Pereira is said to be confident of getting new players in. But until they’re pictured holding the Wolves shirt aloft, fans will worry. Especially after what happened with Marc Pubill.
One position that is still on Wolves’ agenda is a new midfielder.
Nico Raskin has been linked with Wolves – and for Barry Ferguson, it’s clear he should not come cheap.

Nico Raskin has a very high reputation up in Scotland, and is adored by Rangers fans.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
He was picked up by the club two years ago, and has emerged as one of the top midfielders in Scotland.
At the end of last season he was named both Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Year at Rangers, underlining his brilliant contributions in 2024/25.
Inevitably, there have been clubs sniffing around Raskin this summer – including Wolves.
But Barry Ferguson, who was interim manager at Ibrox for the last few months of 2024/25, believes Raskin would cost interested clubs at least £15 million.
He said (via Daily Record): “Nico can play in the Premier League all day long. I worked with him for three months. He has all the attributes and is still at a brilliant age.”
“He still has some things he needs to tidy up on, but he understands that. He’s got an opinion which I liked. He’s really interested and keen to learn. All day long he can play in the Premier League.
“Now, Rangers have got to be looking for big money for Nico. I am looking at £15 million at least for Nico – and the rest!”
Raskin could be Tommy Doyle upgrade for Wolves
Wolves’ need for a new midfielder is clear, after loan moves were sanctioned for both Tommy Doyle and Boubacar Traore.
And Raskin has already been branded a potential upgrade on Doyle, with Rangers expert Callum Boyle informing Molineux News recently: ” He would certainly push them (Joao Gomes and Andre) all the way and could even force himself into the XI.
“This is a player who is a regular in the Belgian national team, and he is a lot better than the likes of Tommy Doyle.
“It may take time, but if he was given a chance and started off well, that could convince Vitor Pereira to stick with him.”
It remains to be seen if Rangers will actually hold out for £15 million for Raskin.
But that is a kind of fee we have seen Wolves spend several times over the last few years, so perhaps Raskin could yet make his way to Molineux for that kind of money.
