Leeds United are expected to have a busy couple of weeks of the transfer window as the club step up the pursuit of further reinforcements ahead of the September 1st transfer deadline. Daniel Farke has made it clear that he needs more fresh faces to ensure the Whites can compete in the Premier League.
Their focus in the final three weeks of the transfer window will be centred on improving the attacking options in their squad as they look short and bereft of ideas in the final third. Farke has insisted that his attack is weaker now compared to what he had in the Championship last season.

Leeds are looking to bring in a striker, a winger and a number 10 before the end of the season. However, the club are open to market opportunities for other positions as well, should a suitable player be available.
The Whites are definitely looking to sign a full-back as they need a replacement before sanctioning Isaac Schmidt’s loan move to Werder Bremen, and it might shock many, the Whites have not ruled out signing one more midfielder before the end of the transfer window.

Leeds United would face competition from Roma if they look to sign Florentino Luis
Benfica’s Florentino Luis has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer as several Premier League clubs are interested in signing him this summer.
Everton and Burnley have shown an interest in him, and even Leeds are monitoring the midfielder’s situation at Benfica in the ongoing transfer window.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Roma have also joined the race to sign the Benfica star this summer.
It has been claimed that Luis has emerged as the dream target for the Serie A giants, who are exploring signing him in the next three weeks.
However, Roma acknowledge a deal would be hard to pull off because of the time left in the transfer window and the interest from the Premier League clubs.
But they remain keen to try, and are considering ways to secure a deal to take the midfielder to the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
Luis’ market value is said to be about £20m, but Benfica hope to spark an auction in the coming days to drive up the price.
Leeds will sign one more midfielder, only on one condition
Midfield is one area of the squad that Leeds look stacked and Premier League-ready ahead of their opening game against Everton a week from Monday.
Leeds signed Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff to a squad that already had captain Ethan Ampadu, last season’s star Ao Tanaka and Ilia Gruev.
Signing another midfielder at this stage would seem too much unless the Whites are planning to offload one of their five first-team midfielders.
There have been question marks about Gruev’s future, and there has been a suspicion that the Whites are open to offers for him.
The only way Leeds can sign another combative midfielder is if they decide to offload the Bulgarian before the window closes on September 1st.
