Welcome to KUMB's latest transfer rumour round-up - five stories from around the web featuring players potentially on West Ham's shopping list, or current Hammers on the radar of other clubs...

Idrissa Gueye

West Ham are said to be in advanced negotiations with FC Metz striker Idrissa Gueye, with some sources claiming the teenager's arrival in east London is "imminent".

Discussions are reported to be "in the final stages" by sources emanating from France, with the two clubs having "reached an agreement in principle" for the highly-talented 18-year-old who is similarly reported to have agreed personal terms. However the Hammers face competition from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for Gueye's signature, with the German side offering to loan the player back to Metz for the forthcoming season.

Lucas Paqueta

Finally free to play having emerged unscathed from the FA's extensive investigation into alleged illegal gambling practises, the Brazilian midfielder is said to be a target of Newcastle United, who have thus far been unable to lure any of their top targets to Tyneside this summer while also trying to fend of Liverpool who are intent on nabbing key striker Isak.

While Paqueta would no doubt enjoy playing once again with friend and national colleague Bruno Guimaraes, he is said to be keen to repay West Ham's loyalty during the two-and-a-half year investigation and determined to prove his worth to the Hammers. Still, an offer of £60million would tempt the Hammers into considering parting company with a player who has, in truth, long been out of form with only two years left to run on his current contract.

Mateus Fernandes

West Ham have long been linked with interest in the Southampton midfielder however a concrete offer for the player is yet to come.

However that could all change this week according to reports, with the club also said to be ramping up their efforts, in the coming days, to part company with Graham Potter's unwanted squad members such as Emerson (who is interesting several clubs in Italy), Guido Rodriguez (San Lorenzo and others) and Maxwel Cornet. Fernandes is top of, or very close to it on Potter's list for midfield reinforcements this summer.

Andy Irving

While his wages (sub £10k) are not likely to stretch Graham Potter's budget much this season, the Scottish international is available for transfer due to the unlikelihood of him being involved with the first team to any great degree this coming season.

Consequently Irving's availability has been made known to various agents although there has been very little concrete interest so far, with the odd enquiry from the Championship not having gone any further at this stage. Still, a return to his home nation is not beyond the realms of possibility with Celtic's Brendan Rodgers having recently enquired as to the player's position.

Bilal El Khanous

The Hammers have already raided Leicester City this week with a cut-price deal for goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, who we understand cost the Hammers around £16million - considerably less than the fee quoted elsewhere and substantially less than the figure the Foxes were hoping for (£25million).

And it appears that another dip into the East Midland club's roster could be on the cards with the highly-rated 21-year-old, Belgian-born midfielder poised to be the subject of a bid in the coming days with Graham Potter keen to bring in a couple of new signings in the centre of the park IF he can shift the likes of Rodriguez and Irving. It's all slowly coming together for Potter - who remains keen on free agent Josh Brownhill, too - as the window winds its way towards the 1 September deadline, three weeks hence.
