Liverpool and Crystal Palace have named their teams for this afternoon’s Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
The Premier League champions take on the FA Cup winners for the first silverware of the season. Team news for the season’s curtain-raising clash have been announced and there are semi-competitive debuts for four new Liverpool signings.

Florian Wirtz gets his first taste of English football after completing his £116m British transfer record move from Bayer Leverkusen. Fellow recruits Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike are also in the starting side for Liverpool.
For Palace, it’s the same starting team that beat Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final. The Eagles are in the Community Shield for the first time after that maiden trophy triumph.
