Jayden Bogle’s absence was keenly felt during Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan in Dublin. Stepping in at right-back for the injured Bogle, Isaac Schmidt struggled to contain the opposition.
Isaac Schmidt has already received loan offers and Leeds could be looking to offload him before the window closes, with the Swiss international looking for regular minutes.
The Swiss defender’s performance suggested the Milan game was a step too far, and he was eventually replaced by Sam Byram in the second half, further emphasising how Bogle is a tough act to follow in that position.
Manager Daniel Farke gave a hopeful update on Bogle, stating, “He’s back out on the grass doing some individual work. He’s been out since two weeks, it’s not ideal. I hope to have him back at some point during the next week, so that he can become a topic also for the squad against Everton.
