Chelsea have received another injury blow after Trevoh Chalobah was forced off injured against AC Milan on Sunday.
Earlier this week, Blues defender Levi Colwill suffered a serious knee injury on the first day of pre-season training and has subsequently undergone surgery.
Decisions will now need to be made over whether to acquire a replacement in the transfer market or show faith in the current options in Enzo Maresca's squad.
Ahead of next week's Premier League opener versus Crystal Palace, Chalobah appeared to be a certain starter alongside Tosin Adarabioyo.
They were paired together for the game with Milan at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, but whether they feature against the Eagles is now very much in doubt.

Chalobah suffers injury against Milan
During the early stages of the second half, Chalobah went into a challenge near the touchline and fouled the Milan player.
However, he twisted his left ankle in the process and was in visible discomfort as he received treatment on the sidelines.
As the minutes ticked by, Chalobah hobbled around the pitch and appeared to be in less pain as he reached the substitutes' bench.
Nevertheless, Maresca made the decision to withdraw the academy graduate and replace him with Josh Acheampong.
With Wesley Fofana without any pre-season action, 19-year-old Acheampong would likely be chosen in Chalobah's spot should he not be passed fit for the game versus Palace on August 17.
