The New England Patriots looked sharp in their first taste of preseason action.
Granted, it was just the preseason, but it was still a nice way to get the ball rolling in the Mike Vrabel era.
However, this team is far from done.
As reported by NFL insider Doug Kyed, this team continues to make moves.
They placed RB Lan Larison on injured reserve (IR), and they signed RB Deneric Prince to their 90-man roster.

Larison had a strong outing in the preseason opener, even scoring a touchdown.
Unfortunately, the undrafted rookie out of UC Davis was later in a walking boot, and while his chances of making the roster already looked slim, that injury may have sealed his fate.
The Patriots brought in a fellow undrafted free agent to replace him.
Prince entered the league undrafted out of Tulsa back in 2023, and he’s spent some time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins.
He also played for the Memphis Showboats of the UFL, and he’s now looking to work his way back to the top-flight football league on Earth.
Even so, the Patriots are already more than set at the running back position, and they might have one of the best tandems in the entire league.
TreVeyon Henderson looks like a superstar in the making, and having Rhamondre Stevenson as his backup is strong as well.
Stevenson has struggled with ball security, but he’s still much better and more experienced than the average RB2, and Mike Vrabel’s team should have an easy time establishing the run this season.
