Kellen Fisher has emerged as a key target for David Moyes as he seeks a new right-back to compete in his Everton team.
According to Football Insider, Everton could target a move for Norwich City’s Kellen Fisher in this window. The impressive right-back is wanted by David Moyes as he seeks competition and depth in the defensive position, and losing the 21-year-old full-back would come as a blow for the Canaries.
Everton have had a decent window so far this summer, but David Moyes seeks more signings to help his squad grow in strength ahead of the new campaign. There have been a few incomings, such as Thierno Barry and Adam Aznou, with the latter being the only defensive signing so far.
The Merseyside outfit have also recruited Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who gives David Moyes a solid option for his midfield. Those signings have come as a response to the eight players who left the club following the expiry of their respective contracts over the summer.
Everton are also targeting Tyler Dibling and Jack Grealish in separate deals to improve their attack, and Moyes may switch attention towards his defensive setup. The right back area looks like a spot of bother for the manager, who is keen to recruit a new option there to compete with Jake O’Brien and also add to the depth in the role.
Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez has snubbed an approach from Everton in favour of joining Napoli, which has seen the Toffees move on to other options available in the market. While the names of their other targets are still unclear, there is a potential link to Norwich City’s Kellen Fisher.
Everton are keen on Kellen Fisher
Fisher made 41 appearances for Norwich City last season, assisting four times from his right-back role, as Everton are now angling for a move. The jump up from the Championship to the Premier League will certainly appeal to any player, including the 21-year-old full-back, as a move to Merseyside could be on the cards for the young defender.
Talks are yet to take place, as Everton could soon make inroads in their efforts to land the 21-year-old full-back. Losing Kellen Fisher will be a big blow for Norwich City, as they could then look for a replacement before the transfer window shuts.
