Manchester United have enjoyed a strong summer transfer window at the expense of Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
On Saturday, Manchester United fans at Old Trafford gave a warm welcome to all four summer signings, including £66m signing Benjamin Sesko.
United beat Newcastle to Sesko’s signature, with the Slovenian star choosing to move to Old Trafford instead of St James’ Park.
Prior to the Sesko saga, United also beat Newcastle to Bryan Mbeumo. The Magpies were also linked to Matheus Cunha before he chose to join Ruben Amorim’s project.

Newcastle are helping Man United sell Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund
After missing out on Sesko, Newcastle are now scouring the market for other striker options and according to GiveMeSport, they are now considering a move for Nicolas Jackson.
United held talks over Jackson, but preferred Sesko. Now, it seems Newcastle could make a move for the Chelsea star. If they strike a deal, the dominoes could fall for Alejandro Garnacho to be sold.
Garnacho has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but the Blues are holding out for sales before they make a move for the young winger. United want £40m for Garnacho, and Newcastle could be about to fund the deal by signing Jackson.

On top of the Garnacho deal, United are open to selling Rasmus Hojlund having sourced an upgrade in the shape of Sesko.
AC Milan are open to a £40m Hojlund deal, likely broken down into a loan with an option to buy in 2025/26.
If Milan plan on triggering that Hojlund buy option, they could fund the deal through their sale of Malick Thiaw.
Newcastle are closing in on a £35m deal to buy Thiaw from Milan, according to the BBC. That money could be reinvested by Milan to sign Hojlund permanently.
Man United can still make over £100m in sales this summer
With Newcastle’s help, it seems United are about to get the ball rolling in terms of transfer outgoings.
So far, Marcus Rashford’s loan move to Barcelona has been the only significant departure this summer.
But Garnacho’s move to Chelsea is progressing, and Hojlund was left out against Fiorentina which seemed to signify his time being up at Old Trafford.

Combined, those two players will likely raise around £80 million for United, and then there is also the ongoing transfer sagas around Antony and Jadon Sancho.
United value Antony at around £50m, but it seems Real Betis are unlikely to match that asking price which could make a summer move difficult.
