AC Milan have a verbal agreement with Manchester United to loan Rasmus Hojlund but are yet to convince the Danish striker to make a move.
According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are pushing to get Rasmus Hojlund over to San Siro this summer. The Rossoneri have a verbal agreement in place with Manchester United to sign the Danish striker on loan with a buy option, but they need a big push to convince the striker over the move.
AC Milan are preparing for an important season under Massimiliano Allegri. The returning boss has made some good signings under his watch, and now eyes a new striker after the departures of Tammy Abraham following the expiry of his loan and then Luka Jovic, who has joined AEK Athens on a free transfer.
Santiago Jimenez is largely viewed as the key striker by Allegri, who may be keen to implement a system where AC Milan play with two strikers. His preferred style is to play with a back three, as he will be keen to add specific players to his ranks to follow through on that system.
Rasmus Hojlund has been the main target for AC Milan over the last few days, and the Serie A giants are now pushing to get a deal done for the Manchester United striker. They have a verbal agreement in place with Manchester United to take the Dane on loan for the upcoming season.
Manchester United have signed Benjamon Sesko from RB Leipzig, and they feel they can now dispense with Hojlund. As per the report and even Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan have found a verbal agreement to pay €6 million as Hojlund’s loan fee, as well as include a €45 million buy option in the deal, and should it come to fruition, the Red Devils will get what they want for the attacker.
AC Milan must convince Rasmus Hojlund
AC Milan may have found a verbal agreement with Manchester United, but they are yet to convince the striker of the move. Hojlund has many suitors from Serie A and the Bundesliga, although a return to Italy has been seen more as a favourable choice.
With Manchester United willing to accept a loan proposal, the Danish striker is yet to decide his future, and might make a decision soon. For now, AC Milan might be a good option for the €45 million attacker, as he would get regular playing time under Allegri, who might implement a system that suits the Danish striker.
